2.4 Information You Choose to Provide
We may also collect information when you subscribe to newsletters, register for an account, complete calculators, download guides, submit listings or directory entries, participate in surveys, provide reviews, or attend our events.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to deliver our property search and business directory services, connect you with developers, agents and mortgage brokers, respond to inquiries, improve our platforms, and — with your consent — send marketing communications about property, market trends and partner services. We may also process information under legitimate business interests such as fraud prevention, enforcing our Terms, complying with law, and running analytics.
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We may share your personal information with property developers and builders whose listings you inquire about, real estate agents and project marketing teams, mortgage brokers and lenders in our network, professional service providers (conveyancers, solicitors, valuers on request), and technology service providers including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Pipedrive, ActiveCampaign, Google Workspace, Google Analytics and Stripe. We may also share information with our related bodies corporate, professional advisers, and successors in the event of a sale or merger, and with government, law enforcement or regulators as required by law.
Property listing inquiries submitted through advertiser forms are routed directly to the listing agent, developer or builder — HALP does not store or process those inquiries, and the advertiser becomes the data controller. Platform inquiries submitted through our own Contact Us, Join Us and Advertise With Us forms are stored by HALP in our CRM systems (Pipedrive, ActiveCampaign) and Google Drive.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Data Security and Storage
We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures including SSL encryption for data in transit, encrypted storage, access controls, regular security assessments, restricted staff access, secure data centres (AWS), PCI-DSS compliant payment processing through Stripe, and staff training. We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes — typically 7 years for account and transaction records, until you unsubscribe for marketing data, and around 26 months for website analytics.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use essential, analytics, functional and (with consent) marketing cookies. You can manage cookies through your browser, our cookie consent banner and third-party opt-out tools. Disabling certain cookies may limit site functionality.

To exercise these rights contact privacy@halp.com.au.
